PLAYING CROOKED STICK
A player at Crooked Stick will find that no consecutive holes are laid out in the same direction, one must constantly adjust to wind from a different tack, long holes are followed by short holes, and shots calling for right-to-left flight are followed by shots requiring a left-to-right path. Pete and Alice Dye have designed Crooked Stick to test a player’s “poise, courage and intelligence,” as well as his or her skill. You can look ahead or look back and the natural beauty of each hole extends before you. But the more familiar you are with the course, the more you see what is waiting for you. It does not let up, and it never lets you down.
CROOKED STICK GOLF CLUB • HOLE BY HOLE
The mission of “The Dye” is to honor the legacy of champion golfers and world-renowned course designers Pete & Alice Dye. The Dyes gave birth to Crooked Stick Golf Club in 1964 and made their home alongside its 18th fairway for many decades. To honor Pete and Alice, the Club’s membership has created this annual invitational event featuring an elite field of international junior players.
The Dye Junior is open to Junior players who have not attended college. All junior players are welcome to apply. The field is determined based on rankings from Golfweek, Junior Golf Scoreboard, AJGA Rolex and WAGR. Please note that players generally need to be ranked in the top 300 in one of the rankings to make the field.
